Carmine Biancamano

Major:  History
Minor:  Russian
I am a rising Junior at Drew, pursuing a History major and a Russian minor.  I am the Budgets & Appropriations chair on college Student Government Association (SGA), the Treasurer of the Resident Hall Association, and the Secretary of Harambee, a Drew students’ group website.  I also work at Residence Life, Student Activities, and the Library as a Desk Attendant.  Through Drew, I have traveled a lot, and in the summer of 2013 will be going to Russia for 3 weeks.  In my free time I like to read (I just finished The Hunger Games series), hang out with friends, and relax.  After Drew, my goal is to go to graduate school to study European History.  Some of my favorite things to do at Drew are: meeting new people and helping out the younger students on campus.  I enjoy walking around campus, and in the beautiful forest that surrounds Drew.

Jayde Bryant

Major:  English
I am a rising Junior, pursuing a major in English.  I have two on campus jobs: as a receptionist at the Drew Health Services, and as a student caller with the Alumni House, a position I have held since my first year.  I am also a member of KUUMBA, Drew’s Pan-African organization.  When I am at home, I teach, as a volunteer, students who want to obtain their GED or simply take advantage of other learning opportunities to further their education. Community involvement is important to me.  In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and writing.  I also like to go to events on and around campus.  After Drew, I plan to attend graduate school.  I love hearing other people’s stories, and I am excited to get to know you all and have a productive summer.

Jennifer Feliz
Majors:  Sociology and Spanish
I am a rising Senior at Drew, pursuing a double major in Sociology and Spanish.  On campus, I have been a member of Ariel, the Drew Latin Cultural Society.  I worked as a Resident Assistant in the student dorms in fall 2012, and have also worked at the Health Services office.  Through Drew, I have traveled to Puerto Rico, The U.S. Virgin Islands, and Spain. My study abroad experiences have been the best experiences I have had in college, and I encourage students to take advantage of the opportunities that colleges have to offer.  In my free time, I like to spend time with family and friends, watch movies, and go shopping.  My goal after Drew is to continue my education and become an FBI agent.

Bryan Gaviria

Majors:  Psychology, Spanish, & Education
I am a rising Sophomore at Drew, pursuing a triple major in Psychology, Spanish, & Education.  I was a member of the EOS (Equal Opportunity Scholar) Program the summer before my first year, and work at the EOS Office as an office assistant.  I am a member of ARIEL (the Drew Latin club), KUUMBA (the Pan-African club), and the EOS Council.  In my free time, I like to hang out with my friends from home, go to the beach, listen to music, go to amusement parks, party, travel to other places, and spend time with my family.  My long-term goal is to become a Licensed Therapist, but after Drew I plan to teach Spanish for a few years while I go to graduate school for my Psychology degree.


Karl Genovese

Major:  Neuroscience
I am a recent Drew graduate, with a major in Neuroscience.  I have been inducted as a member of the Tribeta National Biology Honor Society, and have been a big sibling with the Drew Orientation Committee.   I have worked as an administrative assistant with the Student Activities office on campus, and as a personal trainer at the Simon Forum gym.  Through Drew, I have traveled to Beijing, China as well as New York City and Washington, D.C.  In my free time, I like to read suspense/thriller novels, go to the movies, work out at the gym, and play Super Smash Brothers. My goal is to go to medical school and become a primary care physician.

Ryan Godfrey
Major:  Political Science
Minor:  Economics
I am a rising Junior at Drew, pursuing a major in Political Science major and a minor in Economics.   I am a member of the Polish Culture Club, the Chinese Culture Club, and an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.  I have received opportunities through Drew to meet very influential people, such as Congressmen Frelinghuysen, Commissioner Velez, former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, and others.  At Drew I have also met new friends, thought provoking professors, and inspiring professionals.  In my free time I like to read, practice photography, play Frisbee, and relax with my friends.  My goal is to go to law school and then help others defend themselves when they need it the most.  I would also like to travel the world to expand my knowledge, develop my outlook on life, and challenge myself to understand the increasingly globalized world we live in.  I am a firm believer that anyone can choose her/his path in life; it just depends on how hard you work.

Ruby Hankey

Major:  Theatre Arts
Minors:  French and Middle Eastern Studies
I am a rising Senior at Drew, pursuing a major in Theatre Arts and a double minor in French and Middle Eastern Studies.  Since my first year, I have been an active member in the Drew women’s a-cappella group, On A Different Note.   I have worked as a Resident Assistant in the student dorms and as a Peer Mentor to first-year students.  I also serve as the Theatre and Dance Department’s primary student assistant.  Through Drew, I have traveled to Paris, France and Cairo, Egypt, and will be spending the fall 2012 semester in London!  Traveling has been the most rewarding of my experiences at Drew.   I also am an active participant in many of Drew’s theatre productions, and have been an actor, designer, writer, producer, director and stage hand!  I take great pleasure in being able to test each aspect of theatre and hope to continue doing so graduation!  Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions you may have!

Peter Horton

Majors:  Political Science & German
I am a rising Senior at Drew, pursuing a double major in Political Science and German.  On campus, I am a member of the German and Polish culture clubs, and the Political Science club.  I have been involved with the Honors Program, Mock Trial, and the Academic Integrity Board.  In years past I have participated in the Saturday Academy Program at Drew, traveling to Harlem to tutor students in middle schools.  Humanitarianism and community service has always been important to me, and I have done a variety of things in following this interest, from building houses in Florida to reading books to children at my local library.  I played football for seven years, and am pretty active in my free time.  I often play football, basketball, Frisbee, squash, and other sports with my friends at Drew.  I also have a passion for video games, both PC and console, and enjoy friendly competition.  After Drew I plan to attend law school, and then practice financial or corporate law.

Chloe Joroff

Major:  Behavioral Science
Minor:  Gender Studies
I am a recently graduated senior, which is a bittersweet feeling because I miss the security of college, but it is exciting to know that I finally did it.  I pursued a major in Behavioral Science, and a minor in Gender Studies minor.  The best decisions I ever made in college were choosing my major and minor because they changed the way I understood myself and the world.  In my free time I like to swim, eat every cheese available in my house, hang out with my friends, cook (especially soups! I could eat soup at every meal), and watch thrillers (scary enough, but not nearly as bad as some of the real horror movies out there.)  My long-term goal is to become a psychologist and have my own practice.  In the short term, I plan to save up and travel before I attend graduate school.

Hannah Jrad

Majors: English & French                                                                                      I am a graduated senior with a double major in English and French. At Drew, I worked as the Editor-in-Chief of The Acorn, Drew’s student newspaper, served as the Business Manager of WMNJ The Forest, Drew’s radio station, and was a member of one of Drew’s theme houses, Asia Tree House. I have had many travel opportunities through Drew, and have been to Martinique as part of a Drew International Seminar (DIS). In my free time, I like to knit, read, and practice yoga. My current goal is to begin working in the publishing or advertising industry.


Esraa Mahgob

Majors:  Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Minor:  Economics
I am a rising junior at Drew, pursuing a major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and a minor in Economics.  I have been part of the Drew Women’s Rugby Football Club, and am a part of Tri-Beta and DUBS, the Drew Biology society.  I have done research at Drew University for the Biochemistry department.  In my free time I like to paint, and enjoy outdoor activities like bike riding and hiking.  I recently visited Egypt for two months.  It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend traveling abroad because it makes a huge difference in your life.  My goal after Drew is to go to Medical School, specialize in cardiology, and be a part of Doctors without Borders, which comprises medical professionals who go to underprivileged countries and help with their knowledge and training in the medical field.

Ashley Passamante

Major: Psychology
I am a rising senior, pursuing a major in Psychology.  Apart from my studies and playing field hockey, I like to stay involved in on-campus activities, particularly events run by KUUMBA and its theme house, Umoja.  These activities give me a chance to meet various people who have points of view that are different from mine.  I have met many close friends through this club.  In my free time I stay involved with sporting events.  I also like to go off-campus sometimes, taking the train to New York with friends or staying local and spending time right here in Madison.  My goal is to become active in the education and or counseling fields after Drew.

Raphael Tshitoko

Majors:  English and Political Science
I am from Fort Worth, Texas.   A rising Junior at Drew, I am an English and Political Science double major.  On campus, I am a member of DASA (the Drew African Student Association), VRC (the Volunteer Resource Center), the Drew Pan-African Ubuntu Choir, as well as the Film Club. Along with making possible numerous excursions to New York City through club events, Drew has awarded me the opportunity to travel to London this coming fall for an entire semester. When I have time to myself, I read books, rehearse in the studio, or catch up with friends.  I am not quite sure about my life after Drew, I know that I want to live life to the fullest, enjoy all that it has to offer, and share my experiences.  I know that what I have learned here at Drew will help me to make a difference in the world and in people’s lives.

Samantha Wilkerson

English & Women’s and Gender Studies
Minor:  Dance
I am a rising Junior at Drew, pursuing a double major in English and Women’s and Gender Studies, and a minor in Dance.  On campus, I work as a dance show choreographer, trip coordinator for the Volunteer Resource Center, and at the Drew library.  Through Drew, I have traveled to Washington, D.C. and Honduras.  In my free time I like to dance, volunteer and sing.  My goal is to become a women’s rights advocate.

Roxanne Williamson

Major:  Psychology
Minor: Anthropology
I am a rising Senior at Drew, pursuing a major in Psychology and a minor in Anthropology. I am a member of That Medieval Thing, an annual Drew event.  I work as an assistant in the Art Department, and as a group tutor/student recitation teacher for Statistics in the Math department. Through the Psychology department, I have participated in directed research, and have even had an opportunity to conduct my own research project on personality traits and social networking sites. In my free time, I read, listen to Pandora and watch TV.  My favorite TV shows are Community, Modern Family and Trueblood.  I am addicted to playing FreeCell, and almost always have the game open on my computer. My goal is to enter a Psy.D. (Doctorate of Psychology) program after Drew, and eventually start my own practice.
