The Annual New Jersey Flute Choir Day is open to Elementary, Junior High, High School, College students, and Adults who play the flute and would like to take part in playing ensemble works scored for piccolo, C flute, alto and bass flutes, and the contra bass flute. All applicants are accepted for participation in the program and are placed in classes according to age and playing experience. Lunch is included.

Alexandra Molnar-Suhajda


Composer Alexandra Molnar-Suhajda attended George Mason University where she received a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition and was awarded the Music Department's Most Outstanding Musician award for 1998. She studied composition with Glenn Smith, and has been commissioned to write works by the National Flute Association, the Brannen-Cooper Fund, and other organizations and private individuals. She presently performs with the Columbia Flute choir and the Heatherwood Harp Ensemble, as well as the First Light Ensemble, for which she also serves as the composer and arranger. She lives in Reston with her husband Bryan and their two sweet grey cats, Pibroch and Elfine.
