Graduating senior music majors or minors are eligible for distinction in four areas of music: composition, music research, vocal performance, and instrumental performance. Each spring, the full-time faculty of the Music Department will review the achievements of eligible students over the course of their college careers and decide whether to award distinction in any of these four areas. Eligible students may receive more than one distinction. It is possible that not all distinctions will be awarded every year. The names of recipients will be announced at the Capstone Festival every spring.
