The Drew Externship program matches students with mentors in a range of industries—everything from business services to healthcare to law.
This program allows you informed career decisions because you get to witness real-world work experiences. Shadow a Drew alumnus, parent or friend throughout a typical workday and be involved with projects, attend meetings and meet with other members of the organization. Most importantly, have your questions answered by someone with experience in a field you are considering as a possible career.
In addition to helping get an inside look at jobs as you consider career choices, you will gain opportunities for informational interviewing and networking. Many externships hosts have helped students find internships and jobs.
Externships hosts are alumni, parents, and friends of Drew University. They represent a wide variety of career areas, majors, and class years.
The best time to schedule externships is during the Drew winter break (first three weeks of January) or spring break (mid-March), but other times can also be arranged.
