Korean Courses

How It All Started.

As we were wrapping up our Fall 2017 Japanese Language & Culture class, we received quite a few requests for¬†opening a similar version of the class on Korean Language & Culture. So we sent out invitations to recruit interested Korean student instructors, and fortunately, Byeongjun (Sabe) Oh, Si Hyun (Irene) Choi, and Sunghah Choi came forth and gave the Korean Language & Culture Course Series a grandeur and successful opening that we couldn’t have hoped for anything better.

Uniqueness.

Though all our language & culture courses take the same form, the unique thing about the Korean courses is that Theological School students are also heavily involved in helping out in these courses. At Drew University, both College of Liberal Arts and Theological School each houses about 30 Korean international students, and the Korean courses have proven its importance in bringing Undergraduate and Theological level Korean students together to form a tighter community around the Tilghman International Student Center Рa home to all international students at Drew.
