The mission of the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration is to facilitate the highest quality service to students, faculty and staff of Drew University through leadership of the institution’s business practices and management of its infrastructure and resources.
The following departments and offices report to the Vice President: Auxiliary Services, Budget, Facilities, Finance and the Controller’s Office, Human Resources, Risk Management and Insurance, Treasury, and University Technology.

The Facilities Operations Department at Drew University is committed to maintaining the physical assets of Drew University to the highest possible standards.
The department staff includes professionals in all aspects of buildings and grounds maintenance – custodial, trades, grounds, moves, vehicle maintenance, capital project management, and a wide variety of management skills.

The Finance Department supports and advances Drew University’s mission by ensuring the University’s fiscal integrity through effective administration and direction of its financial resources and activities. The Finance Department consists of the Accounting, Accounts Payable, Finance Technology, Payroll, Purchasing, and Student Accounts departments.
The Treasury Department oversees the management of and accounting for the Endowment and other non-operating and operating investments, all banking relationships, the issuance of long-term debt and compliance with bond covenants, and the administration of state and federal grants.

The mission of the Office of Risk Management and Insurance is to protect Drew University from financial, human capital, physical asset or reputational loss that could impede the overall University mission. In support of its mission, the Office encourages risk management awareness and related collaboration among University divisions and departments.

The Budget Office manages the development, monitoring and analysis of the university’s operating budget. This includes preparing the annual budget submission to the Board of Trustees and ensuring compliance with internal and external budget reporting requirements. It oversees the process of budget transfers and funding requests for new programs and new initiatives. The Department also provides financial analyses for departments and the University administration.
