Emma Cline is author of the novel The Girls, an international bestseller and a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize, and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. Her new short story collection, Daddy, was one of Entertainment Weekly‘s 10 Best Books of 2020.
The recipient of the Plimpton Prize from the Paris Review, Cline’s writing has appeared in The New Yorker, the New York Times, Tin House, and elsewhere, and her fiction has been anthologized several times in Best American Short Stories. In 2017, Cline was named one of Granta‘s Best Young American Novelists. In 2019, she was a finalist for the Sunday Times Short Story Award.
