Barry Burd authored many articles and books, including the popular Java for Dummies and Android Application Development All-in-One for Dummies, both from Wiley Publishing. He’s also the instructor for O’Reilly’s Introduction to Functional Programming course. Burd has lectured at conferences in the United States, Europe, Australia and Asia. He earned his PhD in mathematics from the University of Illinois and his MS in computer science from Rutgers University. In his spare time, Barry enjoys being a workaholic.
