Drew University provides an outstanding liberal arts education and individualized advising to prepare students for careers in professional fields, such as law, medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry, and many more. At Drew, pre-medicine and pre-law are not majors; rather they are tracks that prepare students to reach their career goals. We encourage all pre-professional students to explore their liberal arts education and choose from any of our disciplinary or interdisciplinary majors. Additionally, pre-professional students typically must complete a set of prerequisite or recommended courses required by the type of professional schools to which they plan to apply.

Our pre-professional advisors offer one-on-one guidance regarding course selection, choice of major, professionally-related experience, standardized exams, selection of schools, and application procedures. Students on one of the pre-professional tracks at Drew University benefit from our small class sizes, mentorship from expert faculty, and exceptional research and internship opportunities. Highlights of the Drew experience include our supportive student culture (including our Pre-Medical Society and our Law and Political Science Society), first-rate advising services, and diverse study abroad programs. We ensure that our pre-professional students receive guidance and support from the time they set foot on campus, across their undergraduate career, through the application process, and beyond.
