Did you know the Drew University Special Collections houses a collection of books on witchcraft? Books concerning folklore, superstition, and magic are shelved throughout the collections including prayers to ward off the plague, a book owned by a cannibalistic witch doctor, and a book of ancient charms. Come and see what these mysterious volumes have to offer!

MY DINNER WITH ALAN: A Sopranos Session –– Film Screening  and Q&A March 28th from 5-7:30pm, Location: ARTS 106 On the eve of the publication of their book The Sopranos Sessions, TV critics Alan Sepinwall and Matt Zoller Seitz meet at Holsten’s in Bloomfield, New Jersey, the location of the controversial last scene of The Sopranos. Their wide-ranging conversation covers television, movies, psychiatry, gangsterism, their 20-year friendship, and their experience covering the series for The Star-Ledger of Newark, the newspaper that Tony Soprano picked up at the end of his driveway. Alan Sepinwall and Matt Zoller Seitz and Director Kristian Fraga will be in attendance for a Q&A after the screening

International flag sashes for graduation now available to order!

Students who have applied for Spring 2019 graduation are welcome to purchase an international flag sash for the ceremony. This opportunity is restricted to students who: have participated in a Drew or Drew-approved study abroad (for example, if you studied abroad in Italy, you would order an Italian flag sash), OR are international students who wish to wear a tribute to their home country during graduation. The sash costs $32.50, and all countries are available. To order, fill out the electronic order form (http://www.drew.edu/international-student-services/about-us/resource-center/international-flag-sashes-for-commencement/) and bring exact cash or check (made payable to INTO Drew) to Eliza at the INTO office in Tilghman House. Apply Today for a Paid Summer Internship with the Newark Museum!

The Newark Museum Summer Internship Program will provide students with meaningful career development experiences while at the same time imparting practical knowledge of the museum profession and its intricacies. The goals of the Newark Museum Summer Internship Program include:  Providing opportunities for college students to broaden their perspectives about the museum field while working closely with Museum professionals in one of the premier cultural institutions in the country; Stimulating an interest in a career in a museum or cultural organization by offering students the opportunity to explore various careers, research projects and field experiences; and Instilling an understanding of the Newark Museum’s mission of community service and exemplary education programs Newark Museum Summer Internship Program runs from June 17 – August 9, 2019. Internships are usually four days per week and combine hands-on mentoring experiences within a museum department with seminars and field trips. Internship opportunities are offered in all of its major departments including Curatorial, Registrar, Education, Marketing/Public Relations, Exhibition Design and Library.
