Decolonizing Your Bookshelf Book Club

Decolonize your bookshelf

The Office of Student Engagement is excited to announce Drew’s first ever book club that specifically centralizes authors of Color!

We are excited to announce the book of the semester: When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir by Patrisse Khan-Cullors (Author), Asha Bandele (Author), Angela Davis (Foreword)!

Are you looking to decolonize your bookshelves by reading authors of Color and have dialogues about topics such as intersections of race, class, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, mass incarceration and more? This book has been prorated for a one low cost of $10 (If you are in need financial assistance please reach out to rsawyer@drew.edu). Staff and Faculty are encouraged to buy their own separate books. Please sign up by October 11th and look for an email with more details about picking up your book, paying for your book, and meeting locations!

*There are only 40 books available for students total, first come, first serve.*
