Students may have official transcripts (see below for unofficial transcripts) mailed to other institutions, prospective employers, or other agencies by completing a transcript request form available in the office of the registrar or by notifying the office by mail. All requests for transcripts must be made in writing and bear:
- the signature of the student of record,
- the date of the request,
- the dates of attendance,
- the current address and telephone number of the student of record,
- the student of record’s name at the time of enrollment at Drew, and
- the student of record’s Social Security or Student ID number.
- the request must state where the transcript is to be sent and include the full address of the location.(including an addressee)
All transcript requests require 5-7 working days for processing before they are sent in the mail or picked up. Transcripts requested for RUSH ( issued within 24hrs) processing carry a charge of $10 per copy regardless of start term. Students enrolled prior to fall 1994 receive the first transcript for normal processing free of charge, there is a $5 per copy transcript processing fee for all subsequent requests. Students enrolled in fall 1994, and thereafter have paid a one time, $25 transcript processing fee in their first year’s tuition. For such students there is no charge for a regular (5-7 working days processing) transcript request. If a request is submitted by mail payment may be made by check, money order or credit card. If submitted by fax payment may be made by credit card on the request or over the phone. For credit card payments we require the name as it appears on the card, card number and the expiration date.
Issuance of a transcript must be cleared by the University Business Office. The University withholds transcripts if a student has an outstanding balance on a student account or if repayment of a loan granted by or through the University is in arrears. In addition, any necessary transcript fees must be paid before release of the record.
The University does not issue transcripts directly to the student of record. When such a direct release is required by a graduate school or scholarship agency, the university shall do so only in a secured envelope whose seal must remain intact for the transcript to remain valid. In addition, the address and name of the graduate school and/or scholarship agency in question must be supplied to the University. It must be included on the request.
