8:30 – 10 AM: Breakfast (The Commons)

10 AM- 1 PM: Transfer Student Move-In

10 AM – 11 AM: Drew Seminar (DSEM) Class Meeting

11 AM -12PM: Academic Adviser Meeting

12 PM – 1 PM: Lunch

1 – 3 PM – Placement Exams

These exams are only for students who did not attend or take placement exams during Summer Orientation in July 2016.

1 – 2 PM or 2 – 3 PM – Language & Math Placement Exams

  • Chinese, French, Italian, German, Latin, Spanish, and Russian (BC 1)
  • Math Placement Exam (BC 120): Bring your laptop to this exam!
    • Students who would like to take MATH 150 must take this exam
    • Students who plan to take precalculus DO NOT need to take the exam.
    • A calculator is not permitted for this exam; scrap paper and pencil only.

1 – 2 PM or 2 – 3 PM – Chemistry Placement Exam (Hall of Science, Room 4)

  • For all students taking Chemistry 150.
  • Bring a pen or pencil and a basic (not scientific) calculator.

2 – 3 PM – Biology Placement Exam (Hall of Science, Room 244)

  • This exam is only for students who have received a 4 or 5 on the AP Biology Exam and are seeking exemption from the lecture component of Biology 150.
  • Bring a pen or pencil and a basic (not scientific) calculator.

4:30 – 5:15 PM: The Food Dude, Kevin Roberts (The Commons)

  • Kevin Roberts, aka, The Food Dude, is super excited to spend some time at Drew! He’s creative in the kitchen and wants to give you tips and tricks to manage healthy eating throughout college. He has done over a 100 national and local television shows, including The Today Show, CBS’ Early Show and TLC’s BBQ Pit Masters.

5:15 – 6:45 PM: Dinner (The Commons)

7 – 8 PM: After the Fire: Alvaro and Shawn (Baldwin Gym)

  • Alvaro and Shawn talk about their ordeal of being college burn victims nationally at many colleges across the country. They are advocates for fire safety and prevention so that no other students will have to endure the pain that they suffered.

8 – 9 PM: OC Lack of Talent Show

  • This funny, Orientation tradition is sure to make you laugh. Check out the acting (in)abilities of our outstanding Orientation Committee members and enjoy the show

9 PM: Student Government Ice Cream Social (Tolley/Brown Circle)
