The Instructional Technology Center, located in the Academic Commons on the main floor of the Library, is the home of instructional technology at Drew. The Center is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Instructional Technology brings pedagogically-focused instructional technology and a variety of digital initiatives to learning and teaching at Drew. We’ve put the word “learning” first to highlight a new emphasis on student success in our digital age. Faculty support will be deepened to include more resources, ideas and support with emerging technologies for teaching, as well as to further the new emphasis on digital literacy for our students.
Instructional Technology seeks to support and encourage Drew students to take ownership of their use of technology in their learning and digital lives, and to provide faculty with the technology tools for teaching that will further this aim. We emphasize collaboration between faculty and Instructional Technology staff to ensure that technology-enhanced learning is at the forefront of all of our work. Our professional staff fosters this collaboration by providing expertise and best practices in all areas of pedagogically sound instructional technology, instructional design, and emerging technologies. No matter the level of technology expertise, all students and faculty are welcome to take part in our shared efforts to learn and teach one another going forward.
