Senior Vice President for Enrollment & Institutional Planning

Dr. Massa oversees admissions, enrollment operations and information services, financial aid, athletics, the career development center, institutional research and the registrar. He is a frequent speaker and blogger on selective college admissions and financial aid issues. He enjoys choral music, hiking and biking and spending time with his three young grandsons.

Executive Director of College Admissions

Jim’s career encompasses a lifetime in education and admissions counseling. At Drew he oversees the admission of undergraduates—first-years and transfers—to the College of Liberal Arts. He regularly speaks to prospective families and educational organizations about the college search and selection processes and about issues affecting higher education. A long-time member of NACAC, Jim is frequently sought as a speaker at events. In his undergraduate days Jim majored in Latin American Studies. When at home he enjoys gardening, reading and golf.

Senior Associate Director of College Admissions

Marybeth Tamburro brings to her role as Senior Associate Director multiple degrees in economics, international business, and an MBA in corporate finance. She combines this background with her teaching and admissions counseling experience to provide a unique level of service to our prospective students and families. On weekends Marybeth can be found swimming, golfing and cheering on her son in hockey games.

Senior Associate Director of Independent School and Counselor Relations

Chris Teare brings more than three decades in independent and international schools in the Caribbean, Europe and the United States home to Drew, where he used the library as a high school student in nearby Summit. Also a journalist, Chris contributes to Forbes. He has three beautiful daughters, enjoys season’s tickets to the NJ Shakespeare Theater, and is a Drew Lacrosse fan. He oversees Drew’s relationships with independent schools nation-wide.

Director of Transfer Admissions

Horace brings more than two decades of experience at Drew to transfer admissions.  Formerly the University Registrar, Horace joined the admissions team in 2013 focusing on student success and partnerships with community colleges in NJ and beyond.  He now spends his time working one-on-one with transfer applicants.  Horace is also an accomplished singer, enjoying time with his band, the Drew Blue All-Stars.

Based in San Francisco, Elena assists students in the Western United States and Southeast Asia throughout the admissions process. A leader in WACAC, she is also much in demand as a speaker on college recruitment panels and workshops throughout the country. Elena brings to her work an impressive background in the social sciences. When not advising students, she is famous for her cooking and catering fabulous weddings.

Radek Coufal serves as Drew’s lead international officer. He assists students from all corners of the globe through the admissions process. His office is currently based in Prague, Czech Republic. His undergraduate studies included British and American Studies followed by graduate level studies in Media, Communication and Public Relations. He enjoys reading, playing squash and spending time with his family.

Heather Robinson provides leadership and direction for the Admissions Office’s many on and off campus events. Her extensive experience in the philanthropic community included a broad range of programs from major capital campaign galas to golf outings. Heather’s talents allow her to focus on enhancing prospective students’ and their parents’ experiences at events sponsored by Admissions regardless of their location—be they on Drew’s beautiful campus or in the home of a graduate.  At home, Heather enjoys spending time watching her daughters compete on the field hockey and lacrosse fields in the pool.

Jake Norton is a familiar face at most NJ high schools and college fairs. Back in Madison, NJ, he concentrates on interviewing, advising, and reviewing the applications for students in most New Jersey counties as well as selected southern states.  Jake is a student of history and during his free time enjoys playing with his children, reading and watching hockey.

Anne Hager conducts application review and travel throughout New York and parts of Connecticut. Back on campus, she counsels students and families and can be found at virtually all events. Anne’s degree is in English and creative writing. In her leisure time, Anne loves to sing.

4 Joe Yeck

Assistant Director of Admissions and Athletics Liaison

Joe Yeck represents the university on and off campus and works closely with the Athletic Director and coaches to support the admissions experience of student-athletes. He is frequently found at college fairs and high schools in the mid-Atlantic area and is a key figure during on campus events and interviews. Joe is an active member of both PACAC and PCACAC and sports a diploma in sports management and an MBA. On weekends Joe enjoys playing golf.

Knight Ambubuyog is based in New Jersey and in addition to working with students in selected territories, he is dedicated to assisting students who considering the NJ Educational Opportunity Scholars Program (EOF).  Knight frequently can be found at one of our many on campus events throughout the year . Knight was a student of psychology in his undergraduate days and enjoys following soccer games played around the world.

Kenny, a 2014 graduate of Drew’s College of Liberal Arts, rejoins the admissions team as our newest admissions counselor.  As an undergraduate, Kenny served as a campus tour guide and intern in enrollment operations.  He now serves as admissions counselor for New England and enjoys sharing his experiences and passion for all things Drew with the next generation of Drew alumni.

Molly Porcher brings to Drew first-hand advising experience gleaned from the realm of secondary education. In college she studied both history and education. Molly travels and provides admissions counseling throughout several New Jersey counties, Long Island, and a number of schools in the mid-west and the south. Molly can be found outdoors whenever possible and enjoys running, watching baseball, and cooking.

Karen Blount, one of our newest admission counselors, can be found five days a week welcoming our visitors to Wesley House, the home of undergraduate admissions. She conducts on-campus information sessions, provides one-on-one counseling and interviews and is always happy to answer any question. A student of economics, Karen enjoys paddle tennis and spending time with her family.
