Overnight Visits

What better way to get a feel for being a Drew student than to spend a night as one? Drew’s Overnight Program pairs admitted high school seniors with Drew student ambassadors who serve as overnight and day hosts. This is an ideal chance to meet Drew students sleep in a dorm room, tour the campus, eat in the Commons, attend classes, meet faculty and coaches, and be a part of on-campus events.

Visits are offered Sunday through Thursday from February 5th to April 29th.

No visits will be scheduled March 11th – March 18th, 2012 (students will be on spring break).

Typical Ambassador Stay Schedule:

Day of Arrival*

4:30pm Check-in with host at Wesley House (Admission Office)
5:00pm Student departs with host for dinner
6:00pm+ Student attends activities with host and spends the night in a residence hall

Next Day-Sample Schedule*

7am-9am Breakfast with host
9am-12pm Attend classes and activities with host
12pm-1pm Lunch
1pm-4pm Attend classes and activities with host
4pm Depart campus

*Schedule will vary depending on the course list and interests of the Drew host.

Optional:

Parents are more than welcome to come to Wesley House to have a meet and greet with an Admission counselor when they drop off or pick up their student. The student is also encourages to join the conversation once they’re done with their activities for the day.  Meet and greets can be scheduled anytime between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

What to Bring:

  • A sleeping bag and pillow
  • Toiletries and a towel
  • A change of clothes
  • Some spending money
  • Homework or reading material (so your host has time to get some homework done, too!)
  • Others have also brought a small air mattress, a notebook for class visits, etc.

We’ll Give You:

  • A folder with your schedule, three meal tickets, and other important information
  • An excuse letter for your High School
