For students who wish to go abroad for several months at a time, Drew runs semester-long programs in London, Brussels and Ghana. Undergraduates in London learn about the evolution of British literature, politics and theatre. With courses in the arts, social sciences and humanities, the London Semester appeals to students from many academic majors. Drew’s semester in Brussels, Belgium, focuses on the establishment of the modern European community. Brussels, which is home to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) headquarters and the European Union (EU), provides the perfect backdrop for studying the development of a single, continental identity. Students who travel to Ghana have the opportunity to learn about nation building by observing the process up-close. The program allows undergraduates to study the country's social services and calls attention to the role of gender in the development process.
Majors | English and Theatre Arts
"My first year I was in constant turmoil over whether to major in English or theatre arts, until I decided to go for it and do both. I just followed my heart and did what I love—I couldn’t be happier."
