Intramural Sports

Drew’s Campus Recreation Services (CRS) are designed to meet the athletic and recreational need of the entire Drew community. With the goal of providing active and fun opportunities that encourage a healthy lifestyle, the CRS is divided into the following five major program areas.

Intramural Sports: Both team and individual competition take place in sports and activities such as flag football, indoor/outdoor soccer, basketball, softball, tennis, billiards, etc. The 2007-08 school year offered 14 intramurals sports and a number of weekend tournaments, such as three-on-three basketball and dodgeball.

Club Sports: The clubs are organized and operated by students in conjunction with the Department of Campus Recreation. Ultimate Frisbee, dance team, men's and women's rugby and men's and women's volleyball are presently offered club sports.

Informal “Self-Serve” Recreation: Basketball, volleyball, racquetball, squash and swimming are just a few of the activities available.

Fitness Activities: Cardiovascular equipment such as lifecycles, stair climbers and treadmills and strength-training equipment are located in the Simon Forum's Health Fitness Complex. Aerobics, kickboxing and yoga classes also are offered.

Special Events: Specific programs, tournaments and/or social gatherings may be offered in conjunction with the Department of Student Activities.
