The unique Drew International Seminar (DIS) program takes groups of students to destinations around the world for field study during the January and summer recesses. Designed primarily for students in their sophomore year, the DIS program encompasses a predeparture course and re-entry activities in addition to several weeks of international travel. The predeparture course offers important lessons about the customs, lifestyles and languages associated with the program’s destination. While abroad, participants learn about the topic of their seminar and observe cultural differences between their region of study and the United States. The wide range of overseas study options make DIS programs accessible to students from all majors.
