Online BGTS Courses
Drew Theological School offers a substantial number of courses for the United Methodist Basic Graduate Theological Studies (BGTS) as online courses. These include three courses that are necessary for United Methodists – both semesters of United Methodist History Doctrine and Polity as well as the course on Evangelism in the Methodist tradition. The following courses are scheduled to be offered:
Spring 2012:
- Logon 261 – United Methodist History, Doctrine and Polity 2
- Logon 301 – Systematic Theology
- Logon 735 – Hymnology
Summer 2012:

Fall 2012:
- Logon 260 – United Methodist History, Doctrine and Polity 1
- Logon 240 – A Short course in United Methodist History, Doctrine and Polity (for certification)
Spring 2013:
- Logon 261- United Methodist History, Doctrine and Polity 2
- Logon 244 – Evangelism in the United Methodist Tradition
- Logon 101 – Biblical Literature 1
Drew also offers a Doctor of Ministry concentration, the “Global/Online” program, which makes extensive use of internet education. Several courses are offered online and students continue to communicate through the program phase online.
