Have you ever envisioned yourself as a coach to the members of your congregation on their spiritual journey? What would it mean to incorporate coaching skills into your pastoral leadership? Sarah Diamant and Anne Yardley met during their training to become life coaches. They discovered their mutual interest in theological education and frequently talked about the value that the coaching skills they were learning would have for clergy. They have teamed up to offer this workshop sharing their love for supporting people to discover their own gifts and graces. Join them to discover how taking a coach approach can help you change interactions with both individuals and groups within the church.
Anne Yardley served as Associate Academic Dean of Drew Theological School from 2001-2011 and as Associate Professor of Music from 1991-2011. She is a certified life coach and has a lively private practice which includes several clergy and seminarians.
Sarah Diamant is Administrative Librarian for Special Collections at Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City. She has a PhD in Hebrew Bible and is a poet, artist, musician, as well as a life coach. Her coaching focuses especially with people in transition, with students, and with people seeking to find or develop their creativity.
