We are constantly being bombarded with new leadership books related to historical, biblical, sports, military and even cartoon figures to name just a few. It seems that everyone has a proven leadership theory, diagram, cube, matric or pyramid. What can a student of church leadership do?
In the broadest sense leadership is simply the ability to influence others. Come and explore with us what the world of management research has discovered about developing leadership in mission based organization such as churches. Using games, group discussions, role playing and interactive lecture we will touch on such subjects as goal setting, building trust, motivation and follow-up in the context of the local church. Maybe we can influence you to build your own personal theory of leadership.
