Many churches bemoan shifting practices and ideas about spirituality and religiousity of U.S. young adults (YAs) . We will examine ways through ministry that the church can more effectively address critical issues and concerns that are unique to YAs. This course will ground ministry and education in theology and ethical practices that explore the nature of young/emerging adult spirituality, identify formation, and faith development. Materials used will foreground the gifts, insights, and significant learning that emerge directly from the voices of YA experiences. We will pay particular attention to issues of technology, sexuality, and social justice engagement.
