| GDR students, faculty and staff are invited to a tour of images of or relating to philosophers in some of the buildings of Morningside Heights, including the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, the campus of Columbia University, and Riverside Church. Enjoy images of Plato, Marcus Aurelius, Erasmus, Averroes, Dante, Kant, Simone Weil, and also theologians Origen, Augustine, Luther, among many others. One of the buildings holds the memory of a philosophical ghost. Tour guide is theological librarian, Ernie Rubinstein. Meet on steps of Cathedral of St. John the Divine, at the south entrance, Amsterdam Ave and 112th St., at 2 pm. The tour should go till about 4:30. Refreshments planned afterwards for those who would like to linger longer together. | ||
