Information for Graduating GDR Students

Hooding Ceremony for August 2011, December 2011 and May 2012 Graduates

A GDR hooding ceremony has been scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012, in Craig Chapel, Seminary Hall. This will be followed by a graduation luncheon in the Atrium at Seminary Hall. Please RSVP by April 20, 2012 if you wish to attend (973-408-3410; GDRinfo2@drew.edu). Graduating students may bring one guest to the luncheon free of charge. The charge for additional guests is $20 per person, payable in advance by check to the Graduate Division of Religion. (Mail checks to: GDR Office, Davies 201, Drew University, Madison, NJ 07940.)

Important Dates

Note: Commencement exercises are no longer held in October. All August and December graduates may, at their election, participate in the Spring commencement exercises which are held in May.

Last day to turn in defense copies of the dissertation. Oral defenses are generally scheduled two weeks after the defense copy is received in the GDR office, in order to allow readers time to properly consider the dissertation. Defense copies may be submitted, and defenses scheduled, prior to the listed deadline; however, the GDR office will not accept copies of the dissertation after this date.
