Prospectus (New Process)
For academic year 2011-2012, any student whose dissertation prospectus has received initial approval from the dissertation committee should send the prospectus directly to Dr. Virginia Burrus (Vburrus@drew.edu), in the form of an electronic file. Dr. Burrus will then facilitate the review of the prospectus by select members of the Academic Life Constellation, which is taking on the work that was formerly done by the Prospectus Committee. There are no specific deadlines for submitting, and students and their committees can expect to hear back from the ALC within four weeks of submission.
The ALC review will result in a set of recommendations. It will rest with the dissertation committee to determine what further revisions, if any, will be required in response to those recommendations, and to offer final approval of the prospectus. As always, approved prospectuses should be submitted to GDRinfo2@drew.edu.
A new form to match this process will be available soon.
