Shaping the mission of CCGC is the conviction that there is an urgent need to better understand the forces of both globalization and pluralism that shape Christianity today, as the churches experience tremendous shifts demographically and culturally toward the “south” and the “east” and the local is increasingly difficult to separate from the global. What are the implications of such shifts for theological education, for the graduate study of religion and for the churches? As we engage our own diverse community in exploring, reflecting and modeling Christian thought and praxis in today’s global village, we also reach beyond our borders to engage thinkers and communities around the globe.
