| The Kristallnacht Conference - Concert Hall, Dorothy Young Center for the Arts The Center for Holocaust/Genocide Study will hold its Annual Conference Commemorating Kristallnacht entitled Samuel Bak - Artist/Witness to the Holocaust. Samuel Bak will be giving the keynote address, "Openings and Opennes" at 11:00 am in the Concert Hall, Dorothy Young Center for the Arts. Although this is our usual chapel hour, we have here a unique opportunity to demonstrate our solidarity with the Jewish community, indeed to celebrate a "different kind of communion," by attending Mr. Bak's presentation on this day of remembrance. Other presentations during the day will focus on the city of Vilna (Bak's birthplace whose Jewish population was reduced from 80,000 before WWII to approximately 200 survivors after the war), the various subjects of Bak's art, and the use of Bak's art in Holocaust education. Events are free to the Drew community. For more information on the Kristallnacht Conference schedule and the "The Art of the Question" exhibition, please see http://www.drew/theo-content.aspx?id=66638.
