Drew Is Top 10% Nationally in Political Science

College Factual cites excellent student outcomes.

March 2018 – Drew University is tops among College Factual’s schools that are “Best for Political Science and Government.”

College Factual ranks Drew in the top 10 percent nationally for political science, citing the program’s “above average outcomes,” with graduates on average earning 27 percent more than the national average in the early stages of their careers.Also, in New Jersey, Drew’s program ranks third behind only Princeton University and Rutgers University.

The Political Science and International Relations Department at Drew emphasizes experiential learning and faculty mentoring that can lead to great jobs and graduate schools. Some examples:

  • Kishan Patel ’15 participated in Drew’s semesters on the United Nations and in London, had three internships and earned an MA at Oxford University.
  • Mariel Hooper ’14 also experienced the UN semester, had two internships and earned a degree from Harvard Law School.
  • Ornella Corsant-Colat ’16 is assigned to the UN mission in the Central African Republic. While at Drew, she interned at the UN
  • Thérèse Postel ’10, had three internships as an undergraduate and earned an MA from The New School before becoming a foreign service officer for the US Department of State, in Saudi Arabia.
