Location & Dates

Riker and Welch Halls will be used for Summer Housing and will be available from Sunday, May 13, 2018 through Friday, August 17, 2018.  Residents in Welch Hall must move to Riker before July 2, 2018, to allow for roof repair.


Summer housing is available, as space permits, to Drew students whose business account has been cleared and, who qualify for summer housing by taking summer courses, working at the University for over 20 hours per week, involved with an internship or field work or, an international student.  Priority will be given first to students registered for Summer Session courses, then to students employed by Drew University for at least 20 hours per week.  All other requests will be as space is available.


Students who meet the above eligibility requirements must complete the on-line Summer Housing application by Monday, May 7, 2018.  Any application received after May 7th will be accepted on a space available basis.

Room Cost

Single-    $256/ week

Double-  $235/ week

All summer residents are responsible for paying their rents in accordance with the schedule below.  For billing purposes Summer Housing costs are figured in week increments (Sunday to Saturday).  Mid week arrivals or departures will pay for the entire weeks cost. No exceptions will be made.  The Business Office will bill you for the entire time that you intend to stay in Summer Housing.  Meals are not included with Summer Housing. 

The Housing Coordinator will contact students with details regarding key pick-up and check-in.

Refund Policy

There is no housing deposit, however, a student will be charged $50 for cancelling housing after the beginning of their summer housing start time.  If the student does not arrive for their scheduled summer housing and does not inform the Housing of their non-attendance, the student will be charged for their entire stay.

Interim Housing

Students in need of housing after spring move-out  or before the Fall semester begins will be charged for Interim Housing at a cost of $55/day which also includes meals. Please indicate if you will need Interim Housing on the Housing Application.

Graduation Interim Housing- May 10th to Mays 12th, 3 days, $165.

Fall Opening Interim Housing- August 18th to August 26th, 7 days, $385.

Summer Housing Application (for Drew Students)

  1. Go to https://housing.drew.edu/
  2. Enter your name and password.
  3. Select “Applications” at top of screen.
  4. Select the application- Summer Housing Application – Undergraduate
  5. Read over the Housing Agreement. You must agree to these terms to proceed.
  6. Type your name into the Electronic Signature and press “Continue”.
  7. Answer all personal preference questions. Click on “Continue.”
  8. You have now completed the Undergraduate Summer application.

Summer Housing Application (for visiting/non-Drew students)
