Our RA Selection Process for the 2015-2016 academic year begins October 27, 2014, see the dates below where more information will be shared. Applications for new applicants are due on Friday, 1/30/15.
Being in a student leadership role is important to your self development and it looks phenomenal on a resume! Where else can you develop skills in mediation, conflict resolution, and obtain the abilities to “assess and control” situations? If you are personable and love to interact and build communities, then ResLife and the RA position is perfect for you!
ResLife conducts a series of informational session for all students interested in the RA position (see below). These sessions are held in random locations and at a series of different times (just to make sure you can fit it somewhere in your schedule). This is your first step! Make sure you attend the session, sign-in, and ask any questions you may have. If you are not able to make a session and would like information about the position and the process, please contact the Office of Residence Life at email@example.com or 973-408-3394.

11/3, 8:00 pm: Interest Meeting in Welch
11/17, 9:00pm: Interest Meeting in Tolley/Brown Lounge
12/3, 9:00pm: Interest Meeting in Baldwin Main Lounge
October 27: New Applications become available online
January 20: Returning RA Applications Due
January 30: New Applicant Online Applications Due at 5pm
February 8: Group Process Day from 9am-5pm
February 9-13: New Applicant Individual Interviews
February 18: Decision Letters are available
Group Process Day is an all-day event hosted by the ResLife staff and is meant to place the RA Candidates in scenarios to see how they will react and how they work in teams.
If you are offered a position, make sure you check with the Business Office and Financial Aid to make sure that the RA option will not interfere with your Financial Aid packages.
