Leaving after Fall semester
Students who are leaving the university for any reason after the Fall semester should read this information.
January Term Housing
January Term Housing begins during the first week of January and is open to Drew students who are working on their academic internships, approved independent study, honors work, volunteerism, international students, athletes approved by the Athletic Department, students employed by the University during January and students enrolled in a program at Saint Elizabeth College.
Applications are available from the Housing Office or the Office of Residence Life in late November/Early December. Please follow the directions and deadlines on the application to ensure a January Term Housing spot.
Each year, certain halls on campus are designated as the host for JanTerm Housing. We choose only 1 or 2 halls for JanTerm Housing in an effort to follow the campus sustainability efforts–as it takes much less energy to heat and power 2 residence halls instead of 15.
If your residence hall is chosen for housing JanTerm students–you are required to turn in your room keys at the end of the Fall semester. Failure to do so will result in a lock change for your room that will be charged to your student account. Also, you are required to remove any linens from your bed, clear off your desk, empty half of your dresser and clear half of your closet for the JanTerm student who will be staying there.
For move-in times, locations and information regarding JanTerm Housing–please contact the Office of Residence Life at 973-408-3394 or the Housing Office at 973-408-3681.
JanTerm residents are required to leave the room in the condition that they entered the room. They may be charged for any cleaning or damages found in the room.
