New student/Transfer student Move-In
Move-in day is a very exciting time for the Office of Residence Life. We welcome our new residents to their home away from home! Depending on your class status, move in could be an all day event or it may be a half day due to orientations, etc.
All students must make sure they are cleared before arriving. No student will be issued a key if they have not cleared their status with any on-campus office:
You may check your “check-in status” on Campus Web. All red marks indicate that you are not cleared for that area. Please plan accordingly. No key/access to a room will be issued if you are not cleared.
First Year Students
- All resident students and their families should report to the Tilghman Lot. Campus Map.
- Please arrive in your designated time frame. Assignments have been made to ease traffic flow and unloading congestion. We appreciate your cooperation and patience. Move-In Schedule.
- If you have an issue arriving at the time you have been assigned, please contact the Orientation Committee.
Rental items
Drew University has partnerships with various vendors from whom you can rent refrigerators, lofts, and other items you may need during your stay at Drew that are normally not permitted unless provided by one of our vendors. Visit our Rental and Purchases page to learn more!
Returning Students
- Upperclassmen check-in occurs over the span of two days usually the weekend before classes begin. Check the Academic Calendar for more information.
- Students should check their housing assignments and move in to the room they have been assigned only to avoid fines.
- You must be cleared through Financial Aid, Business Office, and Health Services before Residence Life can issue you a key to your room.
- Anyone seeking an early arrival status through an organization must have their advisor contact Housing.
- Individual students seeking to arrive early may send a request to reslife@drew.edu. In order to be considered you must have a valid reason and agree to the per diem rate you will be charged.
- Please note that if you show up after the times indicated you will be asked to stay in a local hotel or off-campus establishment. Because we rely on other offices to approve your clearance, we cannot accommodate those that show up late due to all of the office’s dependability.
Please contact the Office of Residence Life for more information at 973-408-3394 or reslife@drew.edu.
Graduate/Theological School
