• Drew University provides a limited amount of housing for graduate and theological students in four different facilities: Townhouse, Wendel Hall, Tipple Hall and Eberhardt.
  • Housing is limited and is not guaranteed.
  • Students may apply for housing according to the policies below and based upon their need. Housing is available for single students and students with spouses, domestic partners and/or dependent children under 18 years of age. The University will make every effort to satisfy the need of each applicant within the policies, but reserves the right to make final decisions regarding housing assignments.
  • All residents agree to assume responsibility for the facility to which they are assigned and agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the University as described in the Housing Occupancy Agreement. Failure to comply with these rules and the University’s policies as stated in the student handbook is grounds for termination of the Housing Occupancy Agreement.
  • The University shall not be liable for damage or loss to any resident’s personal property from any cause whatsoever. The University does not carry insurance on the personal property of students; therefore, residents are strongly advised to obtain renters’ insurance for their belongings.
  • Housing is a privilege the University offers to its students. In the case of a separation or divorce, the University will continue to offer housing to the student only. However, as the student’s family size changes, he or she may no longer be eligible for their assigned unit and the University reserves the right to relocate the student to an appropriately-sized unit.
  • Structural modification of the residence facility is not permitted.
  • No pets, except non-meat-eating fish, are permitted in University residence facilities.
  • The University reserves the right to make reassignments and adjustments in housing.
  • The University reserves the right to enter rooms or buildings without a search warrant
    1. For maintenance, inspection or repair purposes;
    2. To maintain safety and security, and
    3. For disciplinary enforcement purposes.
  • Solicitation is forbidden.
  • If your housing need changes, contact the Housing Coordinator as soon as possible.
  • If you defer admission or withdraw this housing application, then you must reapply to be considered for subsequent semesters.
