- MFA 800 001 Poetry Workshop I 3 credits: Student attends 6 poetry workshops
- MFA 804 001 Craft Seminar & Residency Essay I 4 credits: Student attends all craft lectures & Poetry readings. Student turns in a written journal/essay covering specific events during the residency
Mentorship Semester I
- MFA 805 001 Poetry Writing I 5 credits: Student sends approximately 16-20 poems over the course of the semester to mentor for critique.
- MFA 808 001 Critical Writing & Reading I 4 credits: Student reads approximately 20-25 books and writes 8 short papers over the course of the semester.

Residency II
- MFA 810 001 Poetry Workshop II 3 credits: Student attends 6 poetry workshops, including 2 New Work Workshops.
- MFA 814 001 Craft Seminar & Residency Essay II 4 credits: Student attends all craft lectures & Poetry readings. Student turns in a written journal/essay covering specific events during the residency.
Mentorship Semester II
- MFA 815 001 Poetry Writing II 5 credits: Student sends approximately 16-20 poems over the course of the semester to mentor for critique.
