Fall 2012

Welcome to the Drew University new transfer student registration site.  This page is intended to provide information for transfer students registering for their first semester at Drew. For subsequent semesters, you will consult closely with your adviser and make registration choices accordingly. The registration selections you make now will be preliminary and will not be final until you meet with your adviser during on-campus orientation. So think carefully about your selections, but don’t worry if you aren’t totally sure what to choose. You’ll have the opportunity to discuss your questions with your adviser before your selections are final.

Students transferring to Drew with fewer than 26 credits ordinarily are required to register for a College Seminar.

Students transferring to Drew with more than 26 credits do not take a College Seminar and will be assigned an adviser in their intended major.

If you feel you need academic advising prior to meeting with your advisor at orientation, please contact via email Trish Laprey at plaprey@drew.edu.

Please also review FERPA , the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (listed to the left) to understand your access and privacy rights regarding your student records.

Writing Placement Information

Each student must demonstrate competence in academic writing by the end of the sophomore year.  Transfer students may satisfy this requirement by substitution of a writing course transferred from another college or university.

Students transferring to Drew without the appropriate writing course will be required to register for either WRTG 102 (College Writing Fundamentals) or WRTG 103 (College Writing) or WRTG 104 (College Writing Advanced) in the fall 2012 semester.  A writing placement is required for registration in these courses.  Click here for additional information about the writing placement process.
