Academic schedulers may now enter and edit courses online via our new EMS system. The instructions for using the EMS system can be found on the Universities UKNOW page here.

The course list production calendar for the Spring and January 2013 terms is listed below. Please be aware of the following as you prepare courses for the 2013 Spring and January semesters.

CLA Academic Schedulers:  You are strongly urged to take full advantage of the options available in scheduling your classes for the semester. In particular, you are encouraged to schedule courses in the early morning, mid-afternoon, and on Fridays. It is also recommended that departments not schedule multiple courses at the same time and on the same days until they have used all of MWF and TTH daytime options provided by the class schedule. Departments are encouraged to consult with other departments to avoid conflicts between courses in which the same students are likely to enroll. The CLA approved time schedule can be viewed at the registrar’s website. In addition, all approved time blocks can be viewed via a drop down application in the campus web system.

Special Note: In addition to detailed information regarding the technology in each classroom, faculty may view a panoramic (360 degree) view of most classrooms on the ITS website.

Spring 2013 Half Semester Start and End Dates

  • Session I for half semester courses start Monday, January 28, 2013 and end on Friday, March 8, 2013.
  • Session II for half semester courses start on Monday, Monday, March 18, 2013 and end on Wednesday, May 15, 2013.
