Summer research all time high
Every summer, students have the opportunity to performresearch alongside a professor as part of the Drew SummerScience Institute (DSSI) . This allows students to work ina lab, learning how research is conducted both in graduateschool and in industry, while also being a part of an intellectualyet relaxed setting. In the fall, students present their research atthe DSSI Fall Poster Session, giving them both experiencewriting up their results and presenting their research orally. This summer, a record-high 13 students from the physics departmentparticipated in research, including 2 international visiting students. More on this in The Dilated Times (Vol. 21, No. 1).
