Drew, The Princeton Review to Offer Admissions Advice
MADISON, NJ--What qualities, skills and accomplishments make a strong case for admission to the nation’s best colleges? When is the best time to begin the search for an institution of higher learning? What really goes on behind the scenes in undergraduate admissions? These questions, along with many others, will be answered by admissions specialists from Drew University and The Princeton Review at an upcoming seminar titled “The Best 371: Getting In.” Specially designed for high school students and their families, the program will be held on October 1 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Drew’s Madison Avenue campus.
“Selecting and applying to colleges is an incredibly important process, but it can also be intimidating,” said Ronald Ross, Drew’s interim vice president for enrollment management. “I’m so glad that Drew and The Princeton Review have partnered to offer this program, which hopefully will demystify the process to allow college-bound students to find the institutions that best suit their wants, needs and goals.”
An overview of the guidebook on which the seminar is based, “371 Best Colleges,” will be provided by Adam Perry of The Princeton Review. Shaviece Harmon of Drew’s Office of College Admissions will draw from her experiences in the field to offer advice and information to students pursuing admission at competitive schools. Renee Volak, Drew’s director of Financial Aid, will offer insights into paying for college. The three speakers will also take questions from the audience.
For additional information, please contact Shaviece Harmon at 973/408-3739 or via e-mail at sharmon@drew.edu. To register for this free event, please call 1-800-2REVIEW or visit princetonreview.com/gettingin.
