Annual luncheon pairs students with donors.

March 2017 – For some Drew University students, the generosity of a benefactor enables them to study abroad. For others, it means being able to sign up for an interesting course, accept a faraway internship, advance a research project or simply pay tuition.

At an annual celebration of benefactors, such students met the people whose gifts propelled their education. More than 100 attended the event, which featured remarks from President MaryAnn Baenninger, Theological School Dean Javier Viera and senior Marley Crank, a Baldwin Honors and Civic Scholar majoring in international relations and Spanish.

Crank, who has had three internships and three study abroad experiences as an undergraduate, credited benefactors for paving the way. “The support has allowed me to have the full college experience I yearned for,” she said. Here’s a closer look at the event.
