Students interested in transferring now have access to personalized, one-on-one advisement five days a week.

MADISON, N.J.—Due to popular demand, Drew University is now offering on-the-spot admission decisions to transfer applicants five days a week, Monday through Friday. No appointments are needed, says Frances Field, Drew’s transfer admission counselor.

“This is the time of year when college students start to ask themselves seriously if they’re satisfied with their current school,” she explains. “By expanding our services for transfer applicants, we hope to help them tackle that question by showing them the benefits of a Drew education, and by streamlining the application and enrollment processes.”

According to Field, transfer students can come to campus during normal hours of operation, Monday through Friday, and receive information about scholarship eligibility and a transfer course credit analysis, which helps students understand how their academic credits will be counted at Drew.

“We also offer on-the-spot admission decisions, which eases the burden of transferring for many students who worry about going through a lengthy process between semesters,” she adds.

Field explains that students from the New Jersey/New York Metropolitan Area who went elsewhere for college often return to the region in large numbers after their first year, making Drew an attractive choice for many. She adds that the most common reason students transfer to Drew is the high quality of the university’s academics.

“Nationally ranked academic programs and small class sizes don’t usually go together,” she says. “But that combination is exactly what we offer at Drew, making the opportunity to attend too good to pass up for many transfer applicants who have already experienced life at a larger university.”
