Why did you become a librarian?

After working several years in a research lab at an area hospital, I was looking for a career change that would make good use of my background and interest in the sciences. Reference librarian with a specialty in the sciences was a perfect fit and I was lucky enough to land a job with a chemical company that supported my effort to obtain the appropriate MLS degree.

  • Merck Index
  • Kirk Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology
  • Biology Data Book (I wish FASEB would update it!)
  • CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics
  • Statistical Abstract of the United States
