Reference Librarian, Science Specialty

Areas of Specialty:

Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Neuroscience, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Environmental Studies and Sustainability, Public Health, Medical Humanities,

Surprising areas of interest:

Why did you become a librarian?

After working several years in a research lab at an area hospital, I was looking for a career change that would make good use of my background and interest in the sciences. Reference librarian with a specialty in the sciences was a perfect fit and I was lucky enough to land a job with a chemical company that supported my effort to obtain the appropriate MLS degree.
