Please submit reserve requests and lists for the Fall, 2014 semester by Monday, July 28th.
With all the changes we all will be undergoing in the University and also in the Library, the more time provided in which to process your reserve requests, the better we can work to ensure that your requested materials are available to your students on a timely basis.
Professors may place items such as Library-owned materials, personal books, Media Library films, and photocopied articles on reserve. Materials from other institutions may not be placed on reserve.
As the Media Library collection is the responsibility of the Library, requests to place films on reserve should be sent directly to me. It is strongly recommended that you place on reserve any film that you plan to show in your class during the semester. Films on reserve for your class may be checked out by you and taken from the library. If a film is on reserve for another professor, you may not take it out of the library. Any item on reserve, including Media Library films, can be cross-listed to more than one professor or course, enabling us to can accommodate multiple requests for the same work.
Each photocopied item must now be accompanied by a certification form and a fair use checklist. Photocopies that fall within fair use guidelines may be submitted for reserve for one semester. In most cases, they may not be placed on reserve for another semester unless copyright permission is obtained. For further information, the Drew University copyright policy is available at:
