Library GraffitiResearch in Ministry

Has someone already written my DMin thesis?  Check this index to DMin theses, produced by the American Theological Library Association.

Dissertations and Theses

And what about all the Drew DMin dissertations?  Many of them are fulltext online in this database.  Limit your search by Drew=School, D.Min.=Degree, to find them.

Ministry Matters

Great source of online books from the UMC on ministry, exegesis, preaching, and worship including The New Interpreter’s Bible [all 12 volumes].

Ebrary Academic Complete & Oxford Scholarship Online: Religion

No library nearby?  Or the available ones all closed?  Frustrated by all those online books Google can only partially show? Search in these 2 databases for over 75,000 fulltext online titles, many in theology and religious studies.

This nifty search engine works like Google but pulls up only books and articles available through the Drew Library (and so under its imprimatur).

Chicago Manual of Style

How do I footnote an unpaged article in an online database?  The online Chicago Manual of Style tells all.  [Answer is in rule 14.17, if you can find it!]

Other Online Reference books…

These are multiplying at an alarming rate.  See the E-Reference books list on the Library’s page, especially Encyclopedia of Religion, Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church, Encyclopedia of Social Work and many others.

And remember the email address of your theological librarian, Ernie Rubinstein:

Warning: browsing reference books can be edifying!
