Every year, ITS provides faculty development opportunities during the week-long Computers in the Curriculum (CinC) Summer Workshops. the resulting projects are subsequently shared with the Drew Community. The delivery method used to be formal presentations at scheduled times, but in 2010, we went with a more interactive presentation style — poster-sessions.
Our new Poster-Session Format, dubbed “Faculty Showcase” highlights various technology-related projects that Drew Faculty have developed for use in their courses, to enhance and augment their students’ learning experience and to facilitate their own teaching.
This format proved to be a rousing success, allowing faculty to talk with the participants and peers about their projects and share ideas even across departments, and even the Provost, Dr. Pamela Gunther-Smith, Dean of CLA, Jonathan Levine and President Robert Weisbuch himself in attendance!
