A partnership with the Madison community and International Student & Scholar Services at Drew University

The Family Friendship Program pairs an international student with a family in Madison to engage in cross-cultural activities in the surrounding New Jersey and New York area. Families who partner with our office are asked to meet with their student one to two times each semester to share low or no cost activities. We hope that these partnerships will encourage students to become active members of the community and expose families to the cultures that enrich the Drew campus.

Fall 2017 Meet & Greet will be on Thursday, September 28 from 7:00pm – 8:30pm at Tilghman House, Drew International Student Center.

At the Meet & Greet, students and families are asked to exchange contact information and the best times of the week to meet during the semester. The pairs can meet on their own time or together with other families.

We encourage our families to share photos and updates of their activities. According to one family, We had always wanted to host an international student, but our schedule did not leave enough time. This program was the perfect opportunity to get that experience!”
