Drew International Seminars
Drew International Seminars (DIS) are short-term study abroad programs, designed and led by Drew faculty. Each seminar is valued at 8 credits and includes a semester-long pre-departure course on campus followed by a three week-long period of study abroad in January or May.
The DISs are geared for students in their sophomore year and provide an excellent introduction to international education. They enable students to develop and refine skills in cultural awareness, intercultural adjustment, critical observation and research. Students are asked to develop and present a research project and keep a journal to record your cultural observations. All participants receive some training in the language and customs of the country they will visit.
