Registrar Office Administrator

Drew University is seeking an Office Administrator in the Office of the Registrar. This customer service heavy position is the first touchpoint for the Office of the Registrar for students, faculty, and staff, and liaises with offices across campus. Processes a high volume of requests from current students and outside offices, updates confidential information on student records, and answers daily inquiries in person, via phone, and via email. Works closely with other staff members of the Registrar’s Office to provide project support, assist with additional data entry, and manage shared office resources (electronic and non-electronic).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide answers and solutions to students and faculty inquiries in-person, over the phone, and via email. Assist in fulfilling students’ requests for transcripts and enrollment verifications.
  • Responsible for all data entry processing from email requests and internally run audit reports. Provide data-entry assistance to other Registrar staff during high-volume periods. Manage the regularly occurring term processes.
  • Routinely review publicly accessible Registrar resources (website, catalog, forms, etc.) to ensure that information is relevant and accurate. 
  • Manage the flow of information into and out of the office, including: catalog updates and maintenance, commencement planning and support, registration week, and website upkeep; ensuring faculty, staff, students, and offices are given consistent information from the Registrar’s Office.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a high-volume, customer-service focused department. 
  • Excellent data entry skills, strong organization abilities, and exceptional oral and written communication. 
  • The ability to learn and apply established policies and practices to be able to answer inquiries or resolve issues presented to the office.
  • Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively, meet established deadlines, and maintain a strong attention to detail while handling day to day work.

Ideal Education and Experience:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Understanding of FERPA.
  • Knowledge of Ellucian Banner or similar student information systems. 
  • Familiarity with the Google Suite.
