Drew University invites applications for the position of University Registrar. The Registrar provides the leadership necessary to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of academic records across the University, maintain compliance with relevant state and Federal regulations, oversee major academic processes, and provide necessary reports. The Registrar isĀ responsible for the administration and operational activities of the Registrar’s Office including: organizational planning, assessment, budget development, staff supervision and training; coordinating all operational activities related to student registration, academic records, transcripts, student readmission, and transfer services; providing leadership and oversight to ensure compliance with relevant state and federal regulations regarding student records management; ensuring the currency and integrity of the program and course descriptions in the University’s catalogs and web site; producing management reports for planning and decision-making and appropriate data for institutional research; working with the school deans & department heads to manage class & section needs, class schedules; maintaining the University’s academic calendars and catalogs; reviewing student records and certifying completion of degree requirements; having effective interactions with students, families, alumni, and other constituencies; and coordinating Convocation and Commencement.
Required Experience: The successful candidate must have three to five years of experience in higher education as either an associate or assistant registrar and be knowledgeable about the use of student information software systems and federal regulations regarding all aspects of student records management. He/she will also have strongĀ interpersonalĀ skills, demonstrated organizational leadership skills, and an ability to work under pressure. A Bachelors degree is required.
