The University Registrar will be part of a dynamic team of innovative and collaborative leaders, committed to shared governance, and to a bright, sustainable, future for Drew. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment and Institutional Planning, the University Registrar is responsible for the leadership and management of all administrative and operational functions of the Office of the Registrar. The Registrar ensures the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students; facilitates student registration; maintains up-to-date course schedules, final examination schedules; manages efficient use of classrooms; and supervises and maintains the Banner Student and degree audit systems. The Registrar supervises the processes for the articulation of transfer credits, graduation, enrollment and degree verification, production of official transcripts, and diplomas. The University Registrar enforces academic policies and regulations of the University and helps ensure compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory agencies. The University Registrar sits ex-officio on Academic Standing and Curricular committees.
Candidates should have minimum of five years of experience as a University Registrar or Associate. A Masters Degree is preferred. The successful candidate must have the ability to lead effectively and to interact fully with the campus community. The candidate must be able to prioritize work and projects and possess a thorough knowledge of Registrar’s office issues and processes. The candidate must also have a proven track record of success in the use of university technologies, and show evidence of successful project management. Experience working with student information systems and auxiliary software required. Experience working with Banner, Degreeworks, Acalog, Argos, Cognos, WordPress, or EMS is a plus but not required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, public speaking, and interpersonal skills to present, interact and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels are required. The Registrar must also project a positive service orientation.
