Drew University, a selective liberal arts college in northern New Jersey seeks a highly-motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter for the position of Associate Director of College Admissions. Reporting to the Director of College Admissions, the Associate Director will manage assigned territories and complete tasks as outlined in the territory management model and recruitment plan. Daily responsibilities include: attend college fairs and visit high schools, interview prospective students, review applications for admission, participate in major recruitment activities and special events, conduct on and off campus group presentations, and complete other duties as assigned. The Associate Director will also assist in hiring and training new staff members and will be responsible for supervision of staff on specified projects.

Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution required.  Masters degree is preferred.  Candidates should have a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in traditional first year student recruitment at a college or university and be able to illustrate a history of progressively increased responsibility.  Experience with event planning is preferred.  Applicants must demonstrate an understanding of higher education, and specifically, the value of a liberal arts education; must possess excellent written and oral communication skills; must be willing to be a team player, be enthusiastic, and have excellent interpersonal skills; be willing to work evenings and weekends and travel approximately 8-10 weeks annually; must possess a valid driver’s license.  Experience with MS Office suite is required.  Experience with Banner is beneficial.
